Smoked Sausage and Beef Chili

Few things revive your spirits like a hearty bowl of warm chili, especially when it's loaded with the bold taste of Scott Pete Smoked Sausage.


  • 8 ounces Scott Pete Polish Sausage
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 can black beans
  • 2 cans tomatoes, diced
  • 1 can mild green chile peppers
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt


In a large pan, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until thoroughly cooked.

Add chopped sausage to the beef along with the garlic and bell pepper.  Cook for about 4 minutes, stirring frequently.

Transfer everything in the pan to a slow cooker.

Add the chile peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce, black beans and seasonings.  Mix well.

Put the lid on and cook on low for about 6-7 hours.  You can also cook on high for about 3 hours.

Add chives, onions, cilantro or cheese as a garnish.
